Free Hang Samples From Andreas Bick

It's not everyone's thing and indeed the Hang makers positively frown upon anyone who dares beat their creation with a stick, but some artists do use soft beaters to play the Hang, which does give it a particularly soft and gentle timbre.

Thanks to the work of Andres Bick (www.andreas-bick.de), HangFan is happy to present a free sample pack for download and use with Logic Pro (I used version 8) and the built-in EXS24 sampler instrument.

Andreas works within the entertainment industry and creates soundscapes and soundtracks for a variety of purposes in TV, radio and film. You can have a listen to his extensive works online at his website.

INSTALL

1. Download the sample pack by clicking HERE

2. Unzip the contents of the archive

3. Place the hang.exs file in your 'SAMPLER INSTURMENTS' folder (on the Mac this is located on your hard drive e.g. Mac-HD > LIBRARY > APPLICAITON SUPPORT > LOGIC > SAMPLER INSTRUMENTS)

4. Copy the HANG! samples folder to a place of your choosing (preferably the same LOGIC folder so Logic can find them easily).

5. Start Logic and create a new instrument track with the EXS24 loaded - the HANG sample set should be available as a patch.
