Topic: The first time ever I saw a Hang...

Wowowowowow!  Was visiting London yesterday enjoying summer holidays with my daughter.  We were strolling along in the sunshine and were met by a magical sound....a guy sitting by the River Thames (just by the Globe Theatre) playing a strange instrument. We were entranced by the beautiful sounds he was making , it transported us to another place!  We had never seen or heard such an instrument, so asked the guy what it was, etc.  Had to get a film of him on mobile phone, he was awesome!

Today looking up Hang on Google we are disappointed to find that they are not widely available sad

We would love to own one and to make sweet music, it was a truly spine-tingling experience to hear  this being played..... big_smile

Re: The first time ever I saw a Hang...

My first time was also in London, by the London eye...
Since then I got to read about the Hang and discover how hard it is to get one. But  if this instrument really reaches you personally, teaches you somethnig in a certain way, gives you an opportunity to develop yourself etc...  I think that attemting to get one can become kind a of a modern quest. Im off to HangoutUK in September and hope to discover more about the Hang, and who knows, maybe get one. Dont really know why im saying all this... but I also discovered the Hang in london and also adored it :-)
