Topic: New Hang Fan!!!
Hello,
I first encountered the hang last night via this clip

I was searching the tube for videos of different world instruments and, more specifically street musicians. This summer, I am about to embark on a journey that will leave me living in my Volkswagen Bus, traveling the US, and playing music in the streets when I am in towns and cities! I was looking to other street musician clips for some encouragement and inspiration and came across this lovely instrument. I have been playing guitar for several years and also dabble with the trumpet and melodica, as well as hand drums. The feelings this instrument evoked within me were indescribable... as I am sure you all know. I feel that this may be the true instrument of my soul! Well... that and guitar! Someday I will own a PANart Hang. My favorites are the ake bono, but I understand that the new ones are not specifically tuned. Is this a good thing or bad thing in your experiences?
Also, I have another VW Bus... another thing dreams of made of that I may be willing to trade for a hang. It is a 1965 Sundial Camper conversion (split-window bus) and is a project. The shell is pretty much rust free and all is there except for the motor, needs brake work also. It is hard to find buses, let alone campers these days, especially that don't need tons of metal work. Maybe my dream instrument can be completed with your dream vehicle.
I know its a long shot.... so I am gonna start saving my pennies and am sending my letter to the Hanghaus this week. I would love to see one in person. Anyone in Michigan, USA have one that I can watch and listen to?
