Topic: serious request for a hang... unique circumstances

Hello...
I would like to purchase a good quality hang but for unusual reasons. I have some neurological damage and want to retrain the leftside of my body (at least the arm and hand).  It isn't serious or life threatening at this time and the diagnosis is still undetermined. It was also recommended that I pursue meditation. The hang seems to combine the best of both worlds.  To be honest, I have never played an instrument and bought a doumbek (?) in the last month.  (I used to belly dance for fun).  Anyhow, thanks. Hi Bon,
Welcome to Hangfan, I have a friend who works as a sound healer and uses the Hang as part of his set-up.
I think it would benefit you in both promoting your motor skills and chilling you out in the process!

The second hand market is strongly contended and I'm not sure you would necessarily find someone with a Hang to sell easily unless you have a lot of money to spend - then you could join the race to get hold of the Hangs that come up on the market.

You may find someone nice though who is willing to give you a good price though.

There are also new alternatives on the market like the Halo and Bellsdrum - though info about the latter is still not particularly thorough.

Good luck with oyur search - keep your eyes on the forum here and ebay from time to time.

If you use RSS, you can subscribe to the hang marketplace thread by clicking <a href="http://www.hangfan.co.uk/forum/rss.php?fid=11">here</a> and when a Hang comes up for sale it'll appear in the forum thread.

Thank-you for your support. I have been in contact with Halo already.  I am sending PANarts a request today. In the meantime I have some alternative therapy and a doumbek to challenge myself. Not rolling in cash.
