Topic: Looking for a Hang Player for session work

Hi,

Just about to start the scoring process for a video game called Brink (www.brinkthegame.com - not very forthcoming at the mo') and we'd like to see if we can persuade the developers to part with some dosh to record a number of acoustic instruments for the score, Hang drum being one of them.

So I wish to get in touch with Hang players, the more local the better. We're based in Cambridge and would either record the player here in my garage (oooh, high class) or in a studio in London with the rest of the instrumentalists. If you can record at your own place to a broadcastable quality that would also help.

They're interested but it's a little chicken and egg at this stage and as a result difficult to start the score not fully in sync with what we will and will not be able to record so consider this a 'sounding out' stage.

If interested, drop me a line to barn (at) bobandbarn (dot) com since I'll check that far more frequently. Work # is 01223 524018 if you wish to know.

Cheers!

Hi Barn,

Excellent to have you on-board with some good work for Hang players.
I'd certainly be interested, I have access to both a D and F Hang and whilst I'm not the most amazing player on the planet, I think I could certainly handle something of this ilk.
I've got my own studio gear and can record to high standard or overdub were required. I use Logic 8 on Mac, so any format it can handle will do fine.

Will give you a buzz sometime soon and have a natter!
