Hang Stands ?

Some people have used a snare drum stand and put pading along the rim, or even some non-slip rubber. Some people, myself included, have made tripod style stands. These are a bit unstable and could fall. This happened to me and it duffed my "F". Some people have even proposed a clip-on harness that would allow you to play and walk at the same time. I don't think that there is any actual stand made just for the Hang. Except maybe this example....

But this is definitely for the hardcore Hang-er~! Basically, fashion one for yourself, that fits your sensibilities. These are just a few ideas for you. Good luck!

Ack! I knew there was something I wanted to mention! I've got a local blacksmith to make me a custom Hang stand which, if it works well, I want to make available to the Hang community.
Hopefully, he'll finish it off soon and I can try it out.

Ahhh good point...well I guess at first the stand would be meant not for gigging. I guess it's a toss up between weight/stability/aestethic qualities and price!

We'll have to wait and see. I guess it could be constantly refined until any mobility issues are minimized.
