Go what dude, would i be jumping to conclusions by thinking the word that follows is free ????????????????????

i do not think hang players go to sunrise for free.... but they can go as stewards or performers for free....(if they get booked)
its a great festi..... worth the money too (if it aint rained off!!)

Free??....hehe...well, only if you're gonna do some big Hang musical act thing and perform on one of the stages (hint hint)...

The whole new forum thing took me by surprise, and actually I can understand the motivation though it still feels a bit 'separatist' to create yet another.
I've always been totally into creating the online hub for hang fans based on what they want - so it feels a bit daft to have yet another forum - but I will just get on and do the things I do, and help others where so requested.
As web work is my daily bread, it makes sense to me to be here doing this now and developing hangfan forward in a positive direction to the benefit of those who wish to use it.
I'm actually interested in capitalising on the talent and love that is out there, and drawing in the casual browsers of hangfan, of which there are many each day.
I want hang artists to have profiles, downloads, sales and lots of handy things that will promote hang playing and artists and give those individuals complete control over how this happens.
My interest is not to make sheds loads of cash - certainly to cover my costs though - despite the server being part of my IT company, I still need to pay my way fairly.
It is weird how people gravitate to certain places to chat on the web about the hang and how Gidda's hands-off approach has actually worked against his obvious (somewhat vain) desire to be the hang 'hot spot' on the web.
I figured that if I provided services that were genuinely useful to hang players then Hangfan would find it's own place in the raft of interest and community places naturally.
Anyway, stay tuned, great things are afoot at hangfan and I warmly and open-heartefly welcome any help or energy to get things rolling. I'll post again soon with specifics and how things are going to work.
As for Sunrise, if I can help get something together that is of value to it, I can probably squeeze a few bods through the door.
